MULTISCALE INTEGRATIVE NEUROENGINEERING LABORATORY
MINE-Lab @Innovation for High-throughput Healthcare Technology
We are an interdisciplinary Biomedical Engineering Lab based in City University of Hong Kong. We work at the convergence between neuroscience and engineering by taking advantage of an interdisciplinary approach to solve important emerging problems in translational neuroengineering, especially in the development of high-throughput technologies and screening platforms for the discovery of novel therapeutic targets.
Closed-loop Electronics for Smart Neurotherapy. An autonomous and adaptive therapeutic system is created by a hydrogel electronic device that performs mutually interactive electrical recording and controlled drug release. | Nano-structured biochips are interfaced with biological system for advanced biosensing with subcellular resolution. | High-throughput whole brain activity mapping are combined with machine learning for system neuropharmacology and drug discovery for brain diseases, including epilepsy and Parkinson's Disease. | Brain-on-a-chip: large-scale ex vivo creation of 3D neural tissue blocks resolves new insights to chemotactic neural development. | Multiplexed gene-silencing are performed at single-cell level to enable combinatorial screening of siRNA cocktails to formulate more effective siRNA drugs. |
